Here is a Phase 3 update on our services during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020:

Steps We’re Taking to Provide Service:

  • SLPs and SLP Assistants are working from home and seeing clients in a variety of ways
  • Support staff and Management are working in our head office
  • Please do not drop by a CAYA office without calling first
  • We are completing a health screening checklist every morning
  • We are maintaining physical distancing strategies
  • We are washing our hands and using hand sanitizer
  • We are wearing PPE to all client visits
  • We are cleaning all equipment according to our infection control protocol
  • We are following the recommendations of our employers, the BC Provincial Health Officer, and WorkSafe BC

Making a Referral:

  • Until the province moves to Phase 4 (vaccine or widespread treatment), we will be accepting our completed Request For Service forms with the signature of the Referring Agent, via mail, fax or email to contact@cayabc.org
  • We must have the signature of the Referring Agent on page 2.
  • The Referring Agent must obtain verbal consent from the client.
  • Once we are in Phase 4, YOU WILL NEED TO OBTAIN ALL LEGAL SIGNATURES AND SEND THE UPDATED REQUEST FOR SERVICE to our office.
  • If you can obtain the appropriate signatures initially, please continue to do so.
